What information is being collected?

• Staff names, contact information and associated schools for user account creation. 
• Student demographic information required for work experience, job shadow and volunteer placements.

Who is it being shared with?

• District staff user accounts are stored and accessed through servers in Canada.  
• Student and parent/guardian information is shared with employers through placement agreements. 
• School staff involved in arranging, monitoring and reporting on student placements.

For what purpose?

• Tracking student work experience, job shadow and volunteer hours towards BC Ministry of Education graduation requirements.
• Providing a database of vetted employers for student work experience, job shadow and volunteer opportunities. 
• Provide students with an opportunity to experience different career paths in a practical environment.

What else do I need to know?

• myWEX is a condition of service for Central Okanagan Public Schools as it supports BC Ministry of Education graduation requirements.
• myWEX collects, stores, processes and shares student personal information only for the purposes of providing the service.
• myWEX does not own the content or data collected from a district, school board, school, teacher, parent or student.
• myWEX does not sell, use or share personal information or content for marketing or advertising purposes.
• myWEX does not use student data for targeted advertising purposes.
